Debuting the newest boutique brand for Montage Hotel and Resorts, The Pendry Hotel, located in the vibrant and growing Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego. The Pendry Hotel is an urban, modern-day, lifestyle-centric, amenities-driven hotel. Provisional

A modern-day twist on the typical 3-meal restaurant, Provisional, offers sweet or savory, grab-n-go or sit down—morning to night. Enter through the greenhouse which displays for sale homeware, ceramics, apothecary items and jewelry to the coffee bar for delicious drinks from Vittoria Coffee. If you’re staying for brunch be prepared for an all-encompassing menu of avocado toasts, wild salmon poke bowls and huevos rancheros. A light cafe dinner menu is punctuated with homemade pizzas, salads, and locally sourced meats and cheese, with a full dinner menu featuring fish entrees, as well as pastas, and a variety of steaks with sides such as the coveted “brussels foster.” If you’re still craving something sweet, the homemade baked goods (maple mini donuts!) and rotating gelato case will not disappoint.

Lionfish

San Diego native Chef Jose “JoJo” Ruiz brings his love for coastal cuisine at Lionfish. With his extensive seafood background, Ruiz has developed a network of "fisherman and produce growers to ensure that the Lionfish kitchen uses only the freshest and most seasonal ingredients.” A constantly rotating sushi menu is complimented with signature dishes such as Hawaiian Big Eye Tuna, Baja Hiramasa and Ora King Salmon. A variety of hot and cold plates, raw oyster bar, and caviar service also showcases Ruiz’s talent with seafood.

The Pool House

Open only to hotel and spa guests, the roof top pool retreat features light bites and tiki-inspired concoctions. Coconut ceviche with crispy plantains, frozen fruit salad, and wraps and sandwiches are available for order as you gaze at San Diego’s famous 5th Avenue from your private cabana. Classic summer-y libations, sangrias, margaritas, mules and the assorted frozen selection are available for one or in a crowd friendly pitcher format.

Fifth and Rose

The oh-so-familiar lobby bar takes on a more personalized experience at Fifth and Rose. With indoor palms, fresh-cut roses, and comfortable seating accented with classical black and white interiors, crystal chandeliers, and customized cocktails—this bar feels like you're hanging out in an upscale living room as opposed to a traditional lobby bar. The small menu features typical bar snacks dressed for the occasion—homemade potato chips with caviar crème fraiche and steak tartare topped with a quail egg.

Nason's Beer Hall

With San Diego now being the home to over 120 breweries, Nason’s offers a European Beer Hall inspired setting to showcase and sample them all in one place. With over 50 rotating taps, traditional Germanic fare (schnitzel, house-made pretzels, warm apple strudel) and vintage community games, Nason’s offers a casual place to sit down and drink up.
